I Rock Photos

I Rock Photos was started by Guillermo Prieto to document with photography the Indie music scene in Southern California. On a whim in November of 2010, Guillermo went to Pappy and Harriet's to see Cold War Kids. The band came to the iconic venue to debut material for their relase- "Mine is Yours." As the song Mexican Dogs played, he gets a tap of the shoulder from the manager of the band. He asked Guillermo to take some pictures for the band a few days later he learns that his pictures will be in Spin Magazine. This moment of chance and great feedback from bands has lead to this Blog. So if you are in So Cal on Saturday head east on the I-10 hit the outlet mall in Morongo then spend a little money at Casino Morongo and drive another 30 minutes and relax at Pappy’s and enjoy this great band.
