I Rock Photos

I Rock Photos was started by Guillermo Prieto to document with photography the Indie music scene in Southern California. On a whim in November of 2010, Guillermo went to Pappy and Harriet's to see Cold War Kids. The band came to the iconic venue to debut material for their relase- "Mine is Yours." As the song Mexican Dogs played, he gets a tap of the shoulder from the manager of the band. He asked Guillermo to take some pictures for the band a few days later he learns that his pictures will be in Spin Magazine. This moment of chance and great feedback from bands has lead to this Blog. The best place for music is Pappy and Harriet’s. They have everything from country to punk. Imagine a Sunset Blvd Music venue with great food and drink but made from an adobe Movie set from the 1930’s 30 minutes from 29.

This Thursday they have two bands playing Girls and a band called Yuck. Both are playing at the Coachella Music Festival on the main stage. Pappy and Harriet’s is considered one of the best music venues in the country. In my opinion the best venue. They have music every night. They are closed on Tuesday and Wednesday. A band called Gram Rabbit is playing on Sunday one of my favorites. I am glad to see you are listening to Coco. Check out Gram Rabbit they are from Joshua Tree they put on an excellent show.
